Lauren Marfurt: Lauren was born in Herndon, Virginia. She was originally a Biology major at George Mason, but later switched to Bio-Engineering. As a Bio-Engineering major, she has interned at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center, working to develop an optimal formula for Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. She has developed an interest in programming over the last couple of years, and hopes to work in the software industry after graduation.
Rahul Pratap: Rahul was born in India and came to the US in 2008. He started GMU as a Biotech student, but later switched his major to Bioengineering. His main interest in Bioengineering is the development of pharmaceutical drugs. He works for the White House as a Software development and CIO intern.
Alyson Farm: Alyson was born in Naperville, Illinois. She came to mason to play volleyball at the D-1 level. She was interested in bioengineering from the beginning here at mason. She has always had an interest in medical imaging and hope to further her knowledge and career in that area. She had an internship at a local hospital in Naperville in which she got to shadow and help biomed technicians work on medical imaging equipment.
